Now the Peace

July 14, 2011

Now the peace descending slowly

Into this waiting heart of calm

Frees the mind from random thought

And holds the body still as stone.

It is the meditative hour

And silence like a bank of snow

Blankets me in tranquillity.

The energies of ages past

Are concentrated in the soul

And ego needs no more to build

A lasting image of itself

For now it knows that all is He

And She is all one reaches for.

Surrender comes and builds within

The offering and sacrifice

Of all past births experience.

The flame grows brighter by the days,

Her arms encircle and protect,

And in the depths the being yearns

For Her alone and kneels in prayer

And asks to serve in gratitude,

Inclines the head to touch Her Feet.
